REVEREND JESSIE R. WILLIAMS
Senior Pastor of Freedom Fellowship
Born and raised in Corsicana Texas, my spiritual life began as a child at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend L.J. Johnson. There I served as an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent as well as President of the junior Choir and junior Usher Board.
I made a recommitment to the Lord while in the army stationed in Germany being associated with the church of God under the leadership of Brother Vaughn Cunningham. Upon returning to the United States, I united with Grace Gospel Revival Center under the leadership of Brother Bill Elias. I remain there until Freedom Fellowship was organized. Freedom Fellowship was organized in August 1980 with brother Gary Poe and myself acting as overseers. I accepted the call as Pastor the following April, and was legally ordained into the ministry by Victory New Testament Fellowship under the leadership of Reverend H Donald Skelton in October 1981.
LEGACY OF LADY CLAUDIA WILLIAMS
Late First Lady of Freedom Fellowship
A synopsis of my life could begin with a collection of events that occurred in my childhood, or my life as a young wife and mother. Those events are filled with very dear and precious memories. Life is full of this, however, it began when I committed to God by accepting his son as my personal savior. I was transformed, and life took on a whole new meaning. I was no longer religious, but I experienced a personal relationship with God. A new me was born and a new life began. Christ Jesus brought completeness to an already blessed life.
In the year 1980 God called my husband into the word ministry and ordained him as Pastor of Freedom Fellowship Church here in Corsicana, Texas in 1981. For many years I have stood with him in this ministry. I am grateful; for the privilege to worship, learn, and grow with a dedicated group of believers guided by the spirit of God. Many thanks to God for the opportunity to serve him, my church, and the surrounding community. To God be the glory for all he has done and all he is going to do with this vessel I live in.
