ABOUT FREEDOM FELLOWSHIP CHURCH

Freedom Fellowship Church was established in August of 1980. Bros. Gary Poe and Jessie Williams were acting as overseers. Services were held temporarily in the homes of the members and the conference room of Corsicana National Bank (now Community National Bank) For approximately six months the assembly rented a building on East 7th Avenue. It was there that the United Body of Believers chose Freedom Fellowship as the name of our assembly as it was there that Bro. Jessie R. Williams accepted the call to be Pastor. Through the help of Evangelist Fred Taylor (deceased 2018), the Lord led us to a building at 1408 North Beaton Street. The assembly began the purchase of this building in April 1981. God blessed the believers as they worshipped him and learned more of him at this location. As the Lord continued to add to the church body, the time came when this location was no longer sufficient to meet our physical needs. Through the help of the Lord, and a body of willing workers in September of 1990, we moved to 917 South 17th Street, and the Lord continued to bless. On March 2, 2014, our first worship service was held at our new location, 323 North Commerce Street. We thank God for his many blessings over the many years and we share his vision for continued service in this community. For we know that there are many souls yet to be ushered into the kingdom of God, and many minds to be transformed through the living word of God. He alone is worthy of praise, honor, and glory as we celebrate him for these many years as a position of the body of Christ willingly submitted to follow his plan for this season.
